Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it and what your rights are. It follows Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for visitors from the UK and the EU, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Bosphortex, Istanbul, Türkiye. For any privacy question, write to contact@bosphortex.com.
What we collect
- When you send a form: your name, company, email, phone (optional), country, quantity and message, the products you selected and — for a video call — the platform, date and time you prefer. We also record your time zone and the page you sent the form from, so we can reply at a good time.
- Your quote list is kept in your own browser. It reaches us only if you send it with a request.
- Technical data: our server uses your IP address for a few minutes to block spam. Like most websites, our web server may also keep technical logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) to keep the site secure and working.
- When you contact us on WhatsApp, Telegram, a video call or by phone, we receive what you share there — for example your number, username and messages.
- Visit statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and measures how fast pages load. It uses no cookies or local storage and doesn’t fingerprint visitors.
Why we use it
- To answer your request, prepare quotes, arrange video calls and carry out an order you place with us — steps taken at your request before or under a contract (KVKK art. 5(2)(c); GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the website secure and stop spam — our legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5(2)(f); GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- To see which pages are visited and keep the website fast — our legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5(2)(f); GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Our team in Istanbul.
- The providers that host and run this website, only as far as needed to do that.
- WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, when you choose to reach us through them. They handle your data under their own privacy policies.
- Cloudflare, which provides our web analytics. Cloudflare runs a global network, so this data may be processed outside Türkiye, the UK and the EU.
- The carrier that delivers your order, with the delivery details it needs.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Our team works in Türkiye, so if you write to us from the UK or the EU, your data is processed in Türkiye.
How long we keep it
We keep your request while we answer it and for as long as we work together, and longer only where the law requires us to keep business records. Ask us and we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us whether we hold data about you, get a copy, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, and — under the GDPR — restrict its use or take it with you. Write to contact@bosphortex.com; we reply within 30 days.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Türkiye the Personal Data Protection Authority (kvkk.gov.tr), in the UK the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), or the authority in your EU country.
Terms of use
- This website is for businesses: we sell wholesale and make private-label products.
- Product information, photos and specifications are for information only. Prices, minimum orders and lead times are confirmed in a written quote, and an order is binding only once both sides confirm it in writing.
- Colours on screen can differ from the real fabric — that is why we show samples on video before you order.
- Please don’t copy or reuse the texts, photos or designs on this website without our written permission.
- Links to other websites are for your convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
